Luis Praxmarer
Luis Praxmarer is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Experton Group LLC, USA, the Experton Group FZ-LLC, Dubai and Global Research Director of Experton Group.
Mr. Praxmarer is a renowned expert for new information technologies and the definition of future trends in the global IT market. He especially focuses on subjects concerning the IT’s value as contribution to corporate success through innovation and efficiency and the impact of IT on the global economy, regionally and in countries.
Before joining Experton Group, Luis Praxmarer founded META Group Deutschland GmbH in 1994, was owner and Chief Executive Officer of META Group AG and General Manager EMEA. He left META Group on December 31, 2005.
Mr. Praxmarer has over 26 years of experience in the information technology industry in Europe, US and the Middle East. In addition, he is an accredited expert with Startups, Mergers & Acquisitions, Research, Sales and Marketing. Computer Woche Germany ranked him as one of the most influential IT experts.
Before founding META Group Deutschland GmbH in 1994, Mr. Praxmarer held various managerial positions at Digital Equipment, including sales manager and corporate marketing manager in the US.
Mr. Praxmarer holds an engineering degree for data communications and high-frequency technology of the HTL Innsbruck/Austria. He also studied business administration in an executive education course for professionals at the Regis University in Colorado Springs, USA. Luis Praxmarer is a Life Member of The National Registry of Who’s Who. He has been accepted in recognition of significant accomplishments and exemplary service, both to community and to profession.
Kamran Iqbal
Kamran Iqbal is Managing Director of the Experton Group FZ-LLC, for UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain & Pakistan.
Kamran brings to the Experton Group and the local ICT industry over 25 years of ICT experience in management, sales, marketing and business development. He has been in the GCC since 1993 and has witnessed a major ICT transformation and was gladly among the contributors to this major transformation.
He has been dealing with UAE Government, Semi government and private organizations and has been a large part of their overall ICT transformation.
Kamran was the business manager for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), after Digital he was associated with Microsoft, ASPGulf (1st regional software service provider), Meta Group (2nd largest ICT Research and advisory company) as country Director, since 2004 he has been with the Experton Group (he is the managing director and founding member of the Middle East Group)
Kamran sees the contribution of ICT in a very unique way, in how ICT impacts on business competitiveness, go to market strategies (to be the leader) and bottom line improvement. He believes technology is a bi-product of good strategy. He also believes that in today’s world business cannot survive without a heavy contribution from ICT, be it in government, private and small to medium enterprise.
Kamran views Experton as the enabler, providing the contribution and the execution with pre-defined and expected results. In today’s economic climate, the more practical you are the more able you are to sustain business through a downturn.
Kamran holds C-A-T in computer sciences from Softech in United Kingdom. He has completed more than fifty various courses, consisting of technology, management and leadership during his professional career.
Khaled Farrag
Khaled Farrag is Territory Director of the Experton Group FZ-LLC, for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt and North Africa.
Mr. Farrag previously held the position of the Regional Director Sales and Business development at Forrester Research Middle East before joining Experton Group. He brings to Experton Group over 22 year’s of IT industry experience in management, sales, marketing & business development. Mr. Farrag was also holding a director’s position as Middle East Country Director role with META Group (now Gartner). Prior to META Group, he held a position as Regional Manager GCC at Network Systems (Storage Tek) which was acquired later by Alcatel. Prior to that Khaled Farrag worked for SBM, the local representative of IBM in KSA, as marketing manager.
